Ask not what your Motivational Speaker can do for you, but what you can do for your Motivational Speaker.

During his inaugural address President John F Kennedy set the tone for his new administration by saying “ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.” Quite the motivational speaker himself, President Kennedy let Americans know it was their country and their responsibility too.

When hiring a motivational speaker or a keynote speaker, don’t forget to tell them what you want them to do for you. Let them know what you want your audience to do once the speech is over. Do you want your audience to approach a new learning experience with exuberance? Do you want your sales team to walk out the door and call their best prospect? Or do you want all of your departments to lower their guard and really make an effort to work with other departments?

A competent motivational speaker or keynote speaker will be able to help you accomplish any of these things and more, but they need your input. It is critical to your meeting’s success to arm your keynote speaker with the exact information you want imparted to your audience.

Once your professional speaker knows what they can do for you, let them do it!
